GISLog Studios
Small, focused apps for knowing where you are, and a few for everything else. Made by one developer with a background in mapping.
Altimeter – Altitude, GPS, Compass
Altimeter reads your device’s GPS and shows altitude, coordinates and a compass on one screen. Tracking mode follows you on the map, and you can share your location and altitude with one tap. A full rebuild with a new interface, a trip logbook and smarter summaries is underway.

About
GISLog Studios started as a place to ship small tools I needed myself: a quick altitude reading on a hike, a chord chart in the right key, a map sheet number in the field. Some of them found tens of thousands of users along the way.
Right now the focus is a full rebuild of Altimeter, with a new interface and features that turn raw GPS data into something you can read at a glance.
